Also known as Passiflora edulis, is an exotic fruit grown in Colombia.
SIZES
Passion fruit has a diameter ranging about D(≤ 56 mm minimum) to A (> 78 mm).
Sized by weight, A (> 139 gr) – F (≥ 74 -83 gr).
AIR CARGO:
For Europe boxes of 2.5 Kg are used, i.e. for a euro pallet, 120 boxes (1 pallet) are shipped; which equates to 300 kg of fruit.
SEA CARGO:
Boxes with a capacity of 2,5 kg are used for exports to Europe and USA, i.e. for a 40-foot container, 6400 boxes (20 pallets) are shipped; which equates to 16000 kg of fruit.
