Kazakhstan increased exports of agricultural products

In the first half of the year, due to an increase in supplies of wheat, flour and other goods, Kazakhstan increased exports of agricultural products by 5% compared to the same period last year. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.

 

“Based on the results of six months of 2023, exports of agricultural products increased by 5% compared to the same period last year, from $2.6 billion to $2.7 billion,” the statement says. The department noted that the export of livestock products amounted to $80 million, which is 18% higher than the figures for 6 months of the previous year. Exports of crop products amounted to $1.56 billion, which is 4.7% higher than last year.

 

The top five agricultural products of Kazakhstan supplied to foreign markets include wheat, flour, sunflower oil, flax seeds and barley, the ministry specified.
