Mangoes and avocados to be grown in Kazakhstan

A 5.3-hectare greenhouse complex was built by the Turkish company Gen Group Qazaqstan. Bananas are already being grown in the greenhouses. The variety of banana being grown is specially adapted to Kazakhstan's climatic conditions. The first harvest is expected in 6 months. In the future, Timur Uteshov, the company's director, plans to produce other fruits such as mangoes and avocados.

In addition to exotic fruits, tomatoes and strawberries will also be grown in the greenhouse. The first phase of the project will cost $4 million.
