Azerbaijan's revenues from tomato exports have fallen sharply - in January-August 2023, the republic exported 112.06 thousand tonnes of tomatoes worth $124.29 million, according to data from the State Customs Committee. This is about $10 million less than in the same period last year.

The main reason for the decline in tomato export revenues is the fall in tomato prices in Russia. Russia is known to be the main importer of Azerbaijani tomatoes.
