On 30 June, a decree will come into force banning the export of large and small livestock from the country for six months. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, such measures will contribute to the development of livestock breeding, reports Press.kz. On 23 June, the Ministry of Agriculture introduced quantitative restrictions on the export of live cattle from Kazakhstan in the amount of 60 thousand head, including: According to the ministry, in recent years there has been a high demand for live cattle in neighbouring countries, which has led to an active export of livestock abroad. Large volumes of exports can "nullify all the state's efforts to develop livestock breeding and processing".

Türkiye potato production is anticipated to increase significantly in 2023
In 2023, a sharp increase in potato production is expected in Turkey, which is among the top 15 world's largest exporters of these tubers. These data are confirmed, in particular, by statistics on seed potato imports. In the first four months of 2023, Turkey imported 28.5 thousand tons of seed potatoes, which is a new import record for all years. This is also 91% more than the volume of imports for the same period in 2022. The main volumes of seed potatoes, namely 79%, were supplied from the Netherlands. Another 7% of seed tubers were imported from the UK, 6% from France, 4% from Germany and 2% from Belgium. Probably, the sharp increase in potato production in Turkey is a reaction to high prices for these products not only in the region, but also within the country. Source: Eastfruit
