It should be noted that on June 9, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with leaders of leading companies in Milan as part of the business activities of his official visit to the Republic of Italy.

At this meeting, a presentation was made to the head of our state on the expansion of the saffron cultivation, processing and export project in Bakhmal district of Jizzakh region, as well as on the export of saffron to European markets.

In turn, in order to expand saffron plantations and increase the volume of cultivation, the next trucks loaded with saffron bulbs are being prepared for sending to Uzbekistan in the second decade of September this year from Milan, Italy.
